Day 16 — Daily Mission: Suffering for Righteousness

1Pe 3:13-17 (WEB) And who is he that will harm you, if you be followers of that which is good? 14 But and if you suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are you: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 15 but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. 17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for well doing than for evil doing.

Who: Those who suffer for doing good.
What: Do not fear suffering; honor Christ in your heart and be ready to give a gentle, faithful defense of your hope.
Where: In conversations, workplaces, and public life where faith is questioned.
Why: Sanctification equips witness under pressure; justification gives courage; glorification promises vindication.
When: When your faith is maligned or misunderstood.

Prayer: Lord, give me boldness to honor You in heart and words. Help me answer with gentleness and truth, trusting You with the outcome. Amen.
