Day 27 — February 27, 2026: Beware — Do Not Fall From Your Steadfastness

Salvation Tense: Sanctification Warning (Present Tense)

2 Peter 3:17 — “You therefore, beloved, knowing these things beforehand, beware lest, being carried away with the error of the wicked, you fall from your own steadfastness.”

═══ OPORD ═══
WHO: You — the beloved believer who has been taught, warned, and equipped through this entire letter. Peter gives his final warning.
WHAT: “Beware” (phulassesthe — guard yourself, be on watch) is a military term. You are on sentry duty. The danger: being “carried away” (sunapachthentes — swept along, as by a current) by the error of the wicked. The result: falling from your own steadfastness (sterigmos — firm position, stability). This is not falling from salvation (justification is secure) but falling from sanctification stability — losing your footing in the daily walk. The antidote: foreknowledge. You know these things beforehand (proginoskontes). You have been warned. Now guard your position.
WHERE: Wherever the current of the world’s error flows — culture, media, philosophy, false teaching. The current is always pulling.
WHEN: Every single day. The watch never ends until Christ returns.
WHY: Because knowledge without vigilance is vulnerability. Peter has taught you the truth for 27 days. Now he says: guard it. Do not let the error of the wicked sweep you away. Maintain your position. Hold your ground. This is sanctification warfare.

═══ PRAYER ═══
Lord, I am on guard. I have been warned and I have been equipped. I will not be carried away by the error of the wicked. Stabilize me in Your truth. Keep my feet firm. I know the enemy will try to sweep me off my foundation — but You are my steadfastness. I hold my position in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

═══ DAILY CHALLENGES ═══
Challenge 1: Identify the strongest cultural “current” trying to pull you away from biblical truth. Name it, reject it, and choose Scripture over it.
Challenge 2: Share today’s verse (2 Peter 3:17) with a fellow believer and challenge each other to stand firm.
