D'varim Chapter 7
12 It shall happen, because you listen to these ordinances, and keep and do them, that יהוה your Elohim will keep with you the covenant and the loving kindness which he swore to your fathers: 13 and he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you; he will also bless the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your livestock and the young of your flock, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you. 14 You shall be blessed above all peoples: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your livestock. 15 יהוה will take away from you all sickness; and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you know, he will put on you, but will lay them on all those who hate you. 16 You shall consume all the peoples whom יהוה your Elohim shall deliver to you; your eye shall not pity them: neither shall you serve their gods; for that will be a snare to you. 17 If you shall say in your heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them? 18 you shall not be afraid of them: you shall well remember what יהוה your Elohim did to Pharaoh, and to all Egypt; 19 the great trials which your eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm, by which יהוה your Elohim brought you out: so shall יהוה your Elohim do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid. 20 Moreover יהוה your Elohim will send the hornet among them, until those who are left, and hide themselves, perish from before you. 21 You shall not be scared of them; for יהוה your Elohim is in the midst of you, a great and awesome Elohim . 22 יהוה your Elohim will cast out those nations before you by little and little: you may not consume them at once, lest the animals of the field increase on you. 23 But יהוה your Elohim will deliver them up before you, and will confuse them with a great confusion, until they be destroyed. 24 He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you shall make their name to perish from under the sky: no man shall be able to stand before you, until you have destroyed them. 25 You shall burn the engraved images of their gods with fire. You shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourself, lest you be snared in it; for it is an abomination to יהוה your Elohim . 26 You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and become a devoted thing like it. You shall utterly detest it, and you shall utterly abhor it; for it is a devoted thing.

D'varim Chapter 8
1 You shall observe to do all the commandment which I command you this day, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which יהוה swore to your fathers. 2 You shall remember all the way which יהוה your Elohim has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not. 3 He humbled you, and allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you didn't know, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of יהוה does man live. 4 Your clothing didn't grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years. 5 You shall consider in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so יהוה your Elohim chastens you. 6 You shall keep the commandments of יהוה your Elohim , to walk in his ways, and to fear him. 7 For יהוה your Elohim brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills; 8 a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey; 9 a land in which you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper. 10 You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless יהוה your Elohim for the good land which he has given you. 11 Beware lest you forget יהוה your Elohim , in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you this day: 12 lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built goodly houses, and lived therein; 13 and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; 14 then your heart be lifted up, and you forget יהוה your Elohim , who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; 15 who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, [in which were] fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who brought you forth water out of the rock of flint; 16 who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn't know; that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end: 17 and [lest] you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth. 18 But you shall remember יהוה your Elohim , for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as at this day. 19 It shall be, if you shall forget יהוה your Elohim , and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish. 20 As the nations that יהוה makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you wouldn't listen to the voice of יהוה your Elohim .

D'varim Chapter 9
1 Hear, Israel: you are to pass over the Jordan this day, to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the sky, 2 a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you have heard say, Who can stand before the sons of Anak? 3 Know therefore this day, that יהוה your Elohim is he who goes over before you as a devouring fire; he will destroy them, and he will bring them down before you: so you shall drive them out, and make them to perish quickly, as יהוה has spoken to you.

HAFTARAH

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 49
14 But Zion said, יהוה has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me. 15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! 16 Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me. 17 Your children make haste; your destroyers and those who made you waste shall go forth from you. 18 Lift up your eyes all around, and see: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live, says יהוה , you shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament, and dress yourself with them, like a bride. 19 For, as for your waste and your desolate places, and your land that has been destroyed, surely now you shall be too small for the inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up shall be far away. 20 The children of your bereavement shall yet say in your ears, The place is too small for me; give place to me that I may dwell. 21 Then you will say in your heart, 'Who has conceived these for me, since I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering back and forth? Who has brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?' 22 Thus says the Lord יהוה , Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and set up my banner to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders. 23 Kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am יהוה ; and those who wait for me shall not be disappointed. 24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captives be delivered? 25 But thus says יהוה , Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children. 26 I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, יהוה , am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 50
1 Thus says יהוה , Where is the bill of your mother's divorce, with which I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities were you sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away. 2 Why, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can't redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst. 3 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering. 4 The Lord יהוה has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught. 5 The Lord יהוה has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward. 6 I gave my back to the strikers, and my cheeks to those who plucked off the hair; I didn't hide my face from shame and spitting. 7 For the Lord יהוה will help me; therefore I have not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be disappointed. 8 He is near who justifies me; who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together: who is my adversary? Let him come near to me. 9 Behold, the Lord יהוה will help me; who is he who shall condemn me? Behold, all they shall wax old as a garment, the moth shall eat them up. 10 Who is among you who fears יהוה , who obeys the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in the name of יהוה , and rely on his Elohim . 11 Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who adorn yourselves with torches around yourselves; walk in the flame of your fire, and among the brands that you have kindled. You shall have this of my hand; you shall lie down in sorrow.

1 Listen to me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek יהוה : look to the rock you were cut from, and to the hold of the pit you were dug from. 2 Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many. 3 For יהוה has comforted Zion; he has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of יהוה ; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

1 Awake, awake, put on your strength, Zion; put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean. 2 Shake yourself from the dust; arise, sit [on your throne], Jerusalem: release yourself from the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Zion. 3 For thus says יהוה , You were sold for nothing; and you shall be redeemed without money. 4 For thus says the Lord יהוה , My people went down at the first into Egypt to live there: and the Assyrian has oppressed them without cause. 5 Now therefore, what do I here, says יהוה , seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? those who rule over them mock, says יהוה , and my name continually all the day is blasphemed.

Luka Chapter 4
1 NOW Yeshua, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and the Spirit carried him away into the wilderness. 2 Forty days, in order that he might be tempted by the adversary. And he did not eat anything in those days; and when they were over, at last he became hungry. 3 And the adversary said to him, If you are the Son of Elohim, command this stone to become bread. 4 Yeshua answered, saying to him, It is written, It is not by bread alone that man can live, but by every word of Elohim. 5 Then Satan took him up to a high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the earth in a short time. 6 And the adversary said to him, I will give you all this power and its glory, which are entrusted to me and I give it to whom I please; 7 If therefore you worship me, it will all be yours. 8 Yeshua answered, saying to him, It is written, You shall worship the Lord your Elohim, and him only you shall serve. 9 And he brought him to Jerusalem and made him to stand up on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, If you are the Son of Elohim, throw yourself down from here; 10 For it is written, He will command his Messengers concerning you, to keep watch over you; 11 And they will take you up in their arms, so that even your foot may not strike a stone. 12 Yeshua answered, saying to him, It is said, You shall not tempt the Lord your Elohim. 13 When the adversary was through with all his temptations, he left him for a while.

Yokhanan Chapter 13
31 Yeshua then said, Now the Son of man is glorified, and Elohim is glorified by him. 32 If Elohim is glorified by him, Elohim will also glorify him by himself, and he will glorify him at once. 33 My sons, I am with you yet a little while, and you will seek me. And just as I said to the Jews, Where I go you cannot come; the same I now tell you also. 34 A new commandment I give you, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this every man shall know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another. 36 Simon Peter said to him, Our Lord, where are you going? Yeshua answered, saying to him, "Where I go you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later." 37 Simon Peter said to him, My Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will even lay down my life for you. 38 Yeshua said to him, "Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, The cock shall not crow, until you have denied me three times."

Yokhanan Chapter 14
1 LET not your heart be troubled; believe in Elohim, and believe in me also. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to me, so that where I am you may be also. 4 You know where I am going and you know the way. 5 Thomas said to him, Our Lord, we do not know where you are going; and how can we know the way? 6 Yeshua said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life; no man comes to my Father except by me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; from henceforth you know him and you have seen him. 8 Philip said to him, Our Lord, show us the Father, and that is enough for us. 9 Yeshua said to him, All this time I have been with you, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who sees me has seen the Father; and how do you say, Show us the Father?" 10 Do you not believe that I am with my Father and my Father is with me? The words that I speak, I do not speak of myself; but my Father who abides with me does these works." 11 Believe that I am with my Father and my Father is with me; and if not, believe because of the works.
12 ¶ Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes in me shall do the works which I do; and even greater than these things he shall do, because I am going to my Father. 13 And whatever you ask in my name, I will do it for you, so that the Father may be glorified through his Son. 14 If you ask me in my own name, I will do it.
15 ¶ If you love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask of my Father, and he will give you another Comforter, to be with you for ever, 17 Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it has not seen him and does not know him; but you know him because he abides with you and is in you.
18 ¶ I will not leave you bereaved, for I will come to you after a little while. 19 And the world will not see me, but you will see me; because I live, you shall live also. 20 In that day you will know that I am with my Father, and you are with me, and I am with you. 21 He who has my commandments with him and obeys them is the one who loves me; he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him. 22 Judah (not of Iscariot) said to him, My Lord, why is it that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world? 23 Yeshua answered, saying to him, He who loves me keeps my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make a place of abode with him. 24 But he who does not love me does not keep my word; and this word which you hear is not my own but the Father’s who sent me."
25 ¶ I have spoken these things to you while I am with you. 26 But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom my Father will send in my name will teach you everything, and remind you of everything which I tell you. 27 Shalom I leave with you; my own Shalom I give you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled and do not be afraid."
28 ¶ You heard that I told you, I am going away, and I will come to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice because I am going to my Father; for my Father is greater than I. 29 And now behold, I have told you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you may believe. 30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you; for the prince of this world comes; and yet he has nothing against me. 31 But that the world may know that I love my Father, and as my Father has commanded me, so I do. Arise, let us go away from here."

Yokhanan Chapter 15
1 ¶ I AM the true vine, and my Father is the laborer. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he cuts off; and the one which bears fruit, he prunes so that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 You have already been pruned because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Remain with me and I with you. Just as a branch cannot give fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, even so you cannot unless you remain with me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who remains with me, and I with him, will bear abundant fruit; for without me you can do nothing. 6 Unless a man remains with me, he will be cast outside like a branch which is withered, which they pick up and throw into the fire to be burned. 7 If you remain with me, and my words remain with you, whatever you ask shall be done for you. 8 In this the Father will be glorified, that you bear abundant fruit and be my disciples.
9 ¶ Just as my Father has loved me, I also have loved you; abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. 11 I have spoken these things to you that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be full. 12 This is my commandment: That you love one another just as I have loved you. 13 There is no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for the sake of his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do everything that I command you. 15 Henceforth I will not call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master does; but I have always called you my friends, because everything that I heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you, and I have appointed you, that you also should go and produce fruit and that your fruit might remain, so that whatever you ask my Father in my name, he will give it to you. 17 I command these things to you so that you may love one another.
18 ¶ If the world hates you, know well that it has hated me before you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but you are not of the world for I have chosen you out of the world; this is why the world hates you. 20 Remember the word which I said to you, that no servant is greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will also keep yours. 21 But they will do all these things to you for the sake of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would be without sin; but now they have no excuse for their sins. 23 He who hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done works before their eyes, such as no other man has ever done, they would be without sin; but now they have seen and hated me and also my Father, 25 So that the word which is written in their law may be fulfilled, They hated me for no reason.
26 ¶ But when the Comforter comes, whom I will send to you from my Father, the Spirit of truth which proceeds from my Father, he will testify concerning me. 27 And you also will testify because you have been with me from the beginning.
