D'varim Chapter 16
18 You shall make judges and officers in all your gates, which יהוה your Elohim gives you, according to your tribes; and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment. 19 You shall not wrest justice: you shall not respect persons; neither shall you take a bribe; for a bribe does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous. 20 You shall follow that which is altogether just, that you may live, and inherit the land which יהוה your Elohim gives you. 21 You shall not plant for yourselves an Asherah of any kind of tree beside the altar of יהוה your Elohim , which you shall make for yourselves. 22 Neither shall you set yourself up a pillar; which יהוה your Elohim hates.

D'varim Chapter 17
1 You shall not sacrifice to יהוה your Elohim an ox, or a sheep, in which is a blemish, [or] anything evil; for that is an abomination to יהוה your Elohim . 2 If there be found in the midst of you, within any of your gates which יהוה your Elohim gives you, man or woman, who does that which is evil in the sight of יהוה your Elohim , in transgressing his covenant, 3 and has gone and served other gods, and worshiped them, or the sun, or the moon, or any of the army of the sky, which I have not commanded; 4 and it be told you, and you have heard of it, then you shall inquire diligently; and behold, if it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is done in Israel, 5 then you shall bring forth that man or that woman, who has done this evil thing, to your gates, even the man or the woman; and you shall stone them to death with stones. 6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he who is to die be put to death; at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. 7 The hand of the witnesses shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. So you shall put away the evil from the midst of you. 8 If there arises a matter too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within your gates; then you shall arise, and go up to the place which יהוה your Elohim shall choose; 9 and you shall come to the priests the Levites, and to the judge who shall be in those days: and you shall inquire; and they shall show you the sentence of judgment. 10 You shall do according to the tenor of the sentence which they shall show you from that place which יהוה shall choose; and you shall observe to do according to all that they shall teach you: 11 according to the tenor of the law which they shall teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall tell you, you shall do; you shall not turn aside from the sentence which they shall show you, to the right hand, nor to the left. 12 The man who does presumptuously, in not listening to the priest who stands to minister there before יהוה your Elohim , or to the judge, even that man shall die: and you shall put away the evil from Israel. 13 All the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously. 14 When you are come to the land which יהוה your Elohim gives you, and shall possess it, and shall dwell therein, and shall say, I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are around me; 15 you shall surely set him king over yourselves, whom יהוה your Elohim shall choose: one from among your brothers you shall set king over you; you may not put a foreigner over you, who is not your brother. 16 Only he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he may multiply horses; because יהוה has said to you, You shall not go back that way again. 17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart not turn away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold. 18 It shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book, out of [that which is] before the priests the Levites: 19 and it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life; that he may learn to fear יהוה his Elohim , to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them; 20 that his heart not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he not turn aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children, in the midst of Israel.

D'varim Chapter 18
1 The priests the Levites, [even] all the tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of יהוה made by fire, and his inheritance. 2 They shall have no inheritance among their brothers: יהוה is their inheritance, as He has spoken to them. 3 This shall be the priests' due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep, that they shall give to the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw. 4 The first fruits of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep, you shall give him. 5 For יהוה your Elohim has chosen him out of all your tribes, to stand to minister in the name of יהוה , him and his sons for ever.

HAFTARAH

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 9
1 But there shall be no more gloom for her who was in anguish. In the former time, he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali; but in the latter time he has made it glorious, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations. 2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. Those who lived in the land of the shadow of death, on them the light has shined. 3 You have multiplied the nation. You have increased their joy. They rejoice before you according to the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. 4 For the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as in the day of Midian. 5 For all the armor of the armed man in the noisy battle, and the garments rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire. 6 For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty Elohim , Everlasting Father, Prince of Shalom.

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 49
1 Listen, islands, to me; and listen, you peoples, from far: יהוה has called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother has he made mention of my name: 2 and he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand, he has hidden me: and he has made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he kept me close: 3 and he said to me, You are my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified. 4 But I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice [due] to me is with יהוה , and my reward with my Elohim . 5 Now says יהוה who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Ya’akov again to him, and that Israel be gathered to him (for I am honorable in the eyes of יהוה , and my Elohim is become my strength); 6 yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Ya’akov, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give you for a light to the nations, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 51
12 I, even I, am he who comforts you: who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass; 13 and have forgotten יהוה your Maker, who stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fear continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he makes ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor 14 The captive exile shall speedily be freed; and he shall not die [and go down] into the pit, neither shall his bread fail. 15 For I am יהוה your Elohim , who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar: יהוה Tzevaot is his name. 16 I have put my words in your mouth, and have covered you in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and tell Zion, 'You are my people.' 17 Awake, awake, stand up, Jerusalem, that have drunk at the hand of יהוה the cup of his wrath; you have drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it. 18 There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she has brought forth; neither is there any who takes her by the hand among all the sons who she has brought up. 19 These two things have happened to you. Who will bemoan you? Desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword; how shall I comfort you? 20 Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of יהוה , the rebuke of your Elohim . 21 Therefore hear now this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine: 22 Thus says your Lord יהוה , and your Elohim who pleads the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; you shall no more drink it again: 23 and I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, 'Bow down, that we may walk over you;' and you have laid your back as the ground, and as the street, to those who walk over.

Yesha-Yahu Chapter 52
1 Awake, awake, put on your strength, Zion; put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean. 2 Shake yourself from the dust; arise, sit [on your throne], Jerusalem: release yourself from the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Zion. 3 For thus says יהוה , You were sold for nothing; and you shall be redeemed without money. 4 For thus says the Lord יהוה , My people went down at the first into Egypt to live there: and the Assyrian has oppressed them without cause. 5 Now therefore, what do I here, says יהוה , seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? those who rule over them mock, says יהוה , and my name continually all the day is blasphemed. 6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore [they shall know] in that day that I am he who does speak; behold, it is I. 7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes shalom, who brings good news of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, Your Elohim reigns! 8 The voice of your watchmen! they lift up the voice, together do they sing; for they shall see eye to eye, when יהוה returns to Zion. 9 Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem; for יהוה has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem. 10 יהוה has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our Elohim . 11 Depart, depart, go out from there, touch no unclean thing! Go out of the midst of her! Cleanse yourselves, you who bear the vessels of יהוה .12 For you shall not go out in haste, neither shall you go by flight: for יהוה will go before you; and the Elohim of Israel will be your rear guard.

BRIT KHADASHAH

Ma’asei HaShlikhim Chapter 7
35 This Moshe whom they had denied, saying, Who appointed you leader and judge over us? this very one Elohim sent to be a leader and deliverer to them by the hand of the Messenger which had appeared to him in the bush. "36 It was he who brought them out after he had performed miracles, wonders, and signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red sea and in the wilderness for forty years." 37 This is the Moshe who said to the children of Israel, The Lord your Elohim will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brethren; give heed to him. "38 It was he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Messenger who spoke to him and to our fathers in mount Sinai. He is the one who received the living words to give to us." 39 Yet our fathers would not listen to him, but they left him, and in their hearts turned towards Egypt. 40 They said to Aaron, Make us Elohims to go before us, for this very Moshe who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him. "41 And they made a calf for themselves in those days and offered sacrifices to idols and were pleased with the work of their hands." 42 Then Elohim turned and gave them up that they might worship the host of heaven as it is written in the book of the prophets, O Israelites, why have you offered me slain animals or sacrifices during the period of forty years in the wilderness? "43 Indeed you have borne the tabernacle of Malcom and the star of the Elohim Derphan; and you have made images to worship them; therefore I will remove you beyond Babylon." 44 Behold the tabernacle of the testimony of our fathers was in the wilderness just as the Lord, who spoke to Moshe, had commanded him to make it after the pattern which he had shown him. 45 And this very tabernacle, our fathers, together with Joshua, brought into the land which Elohim took away from the peoples whom he drove out before them and gave it to them for an inheritance, and it was handed down until the days of David," 46 Who found favor before Elohim and asked that he might find a dwelling place for the Elohim of Ya’akov; 47 But Solomon built Elohim a house. 48 Yet the Most High did not dwell in temples made with hands for as the prophet had said, 49 Heaven is my throne and earth is the footstool under my feet. What kind of house will you build me? says the Lord, or where is the place of my rest? 50 Behold, has not my hand made all these things? 51 O you stubborn and insincere in heart and hearing, you always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you. 52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted and murdered? Especially have they slain those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One whom you betrayed and murdered. 53 You received the law by the disposition of Messengers, and have not kept it. 54 When they heard these things, they were enraged, and gnashed their teeth at him. 55 But he, full of faith and Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of Elohim and Yeshua standing at the right hand of Elohim. 56 And he said, Behold I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of Elohim. 57 Then they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and with one accord shouted threats against Stephen. 58 And they seized him and took him outside the city and began to stone him. Those who testified against him placed their clothes under the care of a young man called Saul. 59 And they stoned Stephen as he prayed, saying, Our Lord Yeshua, accept my spirit. 60 And as he knelt down, he cried with a loud voice and said, Our Lord, do not hold this sin against them. When he had said this, he passed away.

Matti Chapter 26
"47 While he was speaking, behold, Judas the traitor, one of the twelve, came and with him a large crowd with swords and staves, from the high priests and the elders of the people." 48 Now Judas the traitor had given them a sign, saying, He whom I kiss, it is he, arrest him. 49 And immediately he came up to Yeshua and said, Shalom, Master; and he kissed him. "50 Yeshua said to him, Is it for this that you have come, my friend? Then they came near and laid hands on Yeshua, and arrested him." "51 And behold, one of those who were with Yeshua stretched out his hand and drew a sword, and struck it at the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear." 52 Then Yeshua said to him, Return the sword to its place; for all who take swords will die by swords. "53 Or do you think that I cannot ask of my Father, and he will now raise up for me more than twelve legions of Messengers?" 54 How then could the scriptures be fulfilled, that it must be so? "55 At that very hour Yeshua said to the people, Have you come out with swords and staves to arrest me like a bandit? I sat with you every day, teaching in the temple, and you did not arrest me." "56 But this has happened so that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him, and fled." "57 And those who had arrested Yeshua took him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders had assembled." "58 But Simon Peter followed him afar off, up to the courtyard of the high priest, and he went inside and sat with the soldiers, to see the end." "59 Now the high priests and the elders and the whole council were seeking witnesses against Yeshua, so that they might put him to death." "60 But they could not find any; then there came a great many false witnesses; but at the end two came forward," 61 And said, This man said, I can tear down the temple of Elohim, and build it in three days. "62 And the high priest stood up and said to him, You are not answering anything. What is it that these men testify against you?" "63 But Yeshua was silent. Then the high priest answered and said to him, I adjure you by the living Elohim, to tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of Elohim?" "64 Yeshua said to him, You say that. But I say to you that from henceforth you will see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of the power, and coming upon the clouds of the sky." "65 The high priest then rent his clothes and said, Behold, he is blaspheming; why therefore do we need witnesses? behold, you have now heard his blasphemy." 66 What else do you want? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. 67 Then they spat in his face, and struck him on his head, and others beat him, 68 Saying, O Christ, prophesy to us; who smote you? "69 Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard; and a maidservant came up to him, and said to him, You also were with Yeshua the Nazarene." 70 But he denied it before all of them, and said, I do not understand what you are saying. "71 And as he was going to the porch, another one saw him, and she said to them, This man was also there with Yeshua the Nazarene." 72 Again he denied it with oaths, I do not know the man. "73 After a while, those who were standing came up, and said to Peter, Truly you also are one of them, for even your speech proves it." 74 Then he began to curse and to swear, I do not know the man. At that very hour the cock crowed. "75 And Peter remembered the word of Yeshua, which he had said to him, Before the cock crows, you will deny me three times. And he went outside and wept bitterly."

Matti Chapter 27
"1 WHEN it was morning, the high priests and the elders of the people took counsel concerning Yeshua, how to put him to death." 2 So they bound him, and took him and delivered him to Pilate the governor. "3 Then Judas the traitor, when he saw that Yeshua was convicted, repented, and went away and brought back the same thirty pieces of silver to the high priests and the elders." "4 And he said, I have sinned, because I have betrayed innocent blood. But they said to him, What is that to us? You know better." 5 Then he threw the silver in the temple, and departed; and he went and hanged himself. "6 The high priests took the silver and said, It is not lawful to put it in the house of offerings, because it is the price of blood." 7 And they took counsel, and bought with it the potter’s field, for a cemetery for strangers. 8 On this account that field was called The field of blood, to this day. "9 Then what was spoken by the prophet was fulfilled, who said, I took the thirty pieces of silver, the costly price which was bargained with the children of Israel." 10 And I gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.
